WHY BUY THE JETSKI?

Some love the open roads, caravan on the back and chasing the vast scenery Australia has to offer. Others love to head to the airport and spend their down time jetsetting their way from destination to destination.
While others hook on the jetski, head for the nearest or furtherest boat ramp to drop the ski in and head for a day on the water.
There is definately something about salt air, the ocean (or dam if you prefer the fresh water), something about exploring new regions, new stops along the way and just being on the water.
The unexpected dolphin, whale or even friendship as you beach your ski and head for a much needed early morning coffee, sometimes all before the sun has even come up for the day.
Some may be quick to assume that jetski life is about the adrenalin, the need for speed and dont get us wrong for some it is, but for many it is their social circle, a way to meet new friends, to engage strangers in for a chat about all things weather or locations.
What starts as strangers, slowly becomes social and group rides and catch ups are organised, planned and rolled out.
What starts as a solo trip to the boat ramp, soon becomes meeting mates at 4am at the boat ramp for a sunrise ride, when the water is glass and for the most of it no one to be seen, breakfast and coffee catch up, some wave jumping, memories made and stories to tell.
You just have to scour Facebook to see the groups and the fun they are all having, setting up rides with new friends be it weekdays or weekends there is always someone to ride with or to offer advise or support or to twist your arm to hook the ski on and be at the boat ramp the next morning.
There is one group that comes to mind in this and it is Jetski Jake. Jake first and foremost objective to any of his group rides is rider safety and education, the planning that goes into these is second to none, the knowledge you get to lean into is valued especially in early days of your new found passion.
Jake is renowned in his field for being up to date with requirements and protocol, he puts in endless hours to be across safety, machinery, equipment and products that serve good purpose to a day on the water.

For those joining us in August for the Jetski Camping Event at Burrum Shores we are so bloody excited, 2 days of all our favourite things - time on the water, Jetski rides, camping beachfront, campfires and sunrises and sunsets.
This event reached capacity 24 hours after it went live, so if this doesnt tell you how good the jetski life is we dont know what does.
