For those that know Team Taylor, know that we live and breathe motorsport, across generations we have raced, travelled to races, prepped race cars and supported one another each time a member of the team hits the track and nothing has changed.

For those who don't know Team Taylor, this is our life, our world and a life we have been shown by off road racing legend, mate, Husband, Dad, Poppy & our hero, Nev Taylor, the man who started Team Taylor & the reason we have a legacy to continue.
This weekend, third generation racer, Lincoln Taylor will take to one of Australia's newest circuits, The Shell-V Power Motorsport Park in Tailem Bend, South Australia.
Lincoln, at just 15 years of age has experience behind the wheel of karts, off-road buggies, open wheelers and now pilots the Method Race Wheels/Team Racing Together, Toyota 86.

Round two of the scholarship series is where Lincoln's focus is set this weekend - With plenty of seat time, a well prepped race car & a plan in place Lincoln will face the green flag with a goal of finishing at the pointy end come each chequered flag.
Throughout 2024 Lincoln will compete in a collective 11 rounds between the Toyota 86 Scholarship Series and TGRA Gr Cup Series - some in conjunction with Supercars events around the Nation - an impressive and busy year for the fifteen year old.
Whilst Lincoln and the crew are at The Bend, our Pro Buggy Pilot and former Australian Champion, Ryan Taylor is back home in the Sunshine State running the final prepartions over the #24 Tatum Pro Buggy for its journey across to the red centre that is Alice Springs for the famous, 'There & Back' race that is known as the Finke Desert Race.
Picture a 3.5lt twin turbo cadillac engine punching out 800hp through the Albins sequential gear box as it tracks across the desert with Method Race Wheels wrapped in 37" Toyo Tyres and sporting Kings Shocks for a smooth ride into the famous Indigenous community of Apatula (or more commonly known as Finke)

Ryan Taylor will be taking the wheel of buggy #24 with Adam McGuire taking the navigator seat, a pair that are no strangers to the race, the terrain or working with one another. After a brief break from racing together Ryan & Adam will suit back up for the biggest race of the year & between track knowledge, experience in the sport and a well prepared buggy, the pair have a good shot at pointy end of the field, even chasing the elusive top step.
However with Finke, you can have the best of the best machinery, experience but with a gruelling 229km run to Finke on the Sunday morning and then to return the next day it is touch on man and machinery. Nature plays its part with dust and terrain, and although you arrive with everything race ready, off-road racing has always and will always be one of the toughest sports and you have to be prepared for whatever cards the racing gods deal that day.

Come Sunday, you watch the cars line up and see the lights go green and Race Day 1 is underway, where it will take the front running cars less than 2 hours to travel 229klm into Finke where one last jump before racers are greated by the famous
'Hi Honey - made it to Finke YAHOO!' car bonnet.
Whilst the race is the reason we all gather at the red centre, is the night spent in Finke that brings the most memories for us all, crisp winter air, camp fires providing, light, warmth and dinner, the sun providing a spectacular show on sunet, an impressive collection of 23Zero swags set up ready to rest our heads and talking about the day that was and the day that will be.
The crew ensures that the #24 is prepped and safe ahead of its journey back to Alice Springs at 7:15am Monday 10th June.

In the morning its not the sounds of birdsong that you wake to but the sounds of race cars, bikes warming up and swags being un-zipped as the nerves set in ready for Race Day 2.
The Tatts Finke Desert Race is an off road, multi terrain two-day race for bikes, cars & buggies through desert counry from Alice Springs to Aputula (Finke). The race is held each year on what is now the King's Birthday long weekend in June.
Finke is one of the biggest annual sporting events in the Northern Territory and has the reputation of being one of the most difficult offroad courses in one of the most remote places in the world and yet, thousands flock each and every year to take part, volunteer or spectate the incredible event.
It's incredible to see the support each year that Finke and the off-road community recieves, for what is not a commonly televised sport here in Australia, come June you can bet that the news will showcase the incredible race that crowns the King of the Desert.

Thursday 6th June - Finke Street Party Friday 7th June - Scrutinnering Saturday 8th June - Prologue (Qualifying) Sunday 9th June - Race to Finke from Alice Springs Monday 10th June - Race from Finke to Alice Springs
We will ensure to keep you posted throughout the campaign and bring you along for the journey with us. For many, living vicariously through social media is potentually the closest to the Finke Desert Race you can get and with that in mind, we will do our best to showcase all that it has to offer.
For more information on the event, we encourage you to head to their website: https://finkedesertrace.com.au/ and why not plan a road trip and come along to be part of the action - we promise you wont be disappointed
